Pradip K. Bajracharya

The paintings of Pradip Bajracharya explode with light and color featuring themes of the street carnival of Nepal, the swirl and move, portraying the essence of the festival mood. His colors are overlaid with each other, applied in layers of Acrylic paint, with figures moving through them. His motif is general enough that, when they were displayed in San Francisco, some viewers thought he came from Latin America, Which has some similar customs. Pradip manages to communicate the action and excitement of the festival day in these works of various sizes, catching the attention and desire for such celebrations which is universal.
