Pradip Bajracharya

Pradip Bajracharya

Born in 1971 in Kathmandu, Pradeep (or Pradip) Bajracharya is instantly recognizable through his work.

Pradeep’s artwork continually evolves with each new exhibition, focusing on the festivals and culture of the Newar population of Nepal. His work proudly reflects the vibrant energy and dynamism associated with the Newars and their celebrations. In his latest pieces, he uses vibrant and uplifting colors set against a dark backdrop, creating a sense of power and austerity. The use of sharp, rapier-like brushes adds dramatic excitement and movement.

Festivals are a means of expression within the diverse communities of the Kathmandu Valley, and as a gifted artist, Pradeep captures this by transforming these colorful forms for everyone’s enjoyment.

He earned his B.A. from the Fine Arts Campus in Kathmandu.
